One of the only solutions on the market designed and engineered for compatibility with 300 series and 500 series Promethean, SMART, and other interactive whiteboard (IWB) models, the new USB 1.1 Super booster Extender for Interactive Whiteboards is perfect for extending 1.1 signals up to 40m (131ft) to support any interactive whiteboard. Other USB extension solutions use a chipset that is incompatible with interactive whiteboards which can cause dropped signals and/or periodic spikes when the solutions are used together. The C2G Super booster conquers USB length limitations and allows the interactive whiteboard to be installed in the best location. The booster is powerful yet simple, with no drivers to install or special software required, so it's compatible with any computer that supports USB. This plug-and-play device consists of a wall plate transmitter unit and a dongle receiver unit connected together by a standard Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6 network cable (not included). Simply connect a USB cable from the IWB to the receiver, connect a Cat5 cable from the receiver to the transmitter, then connect the transmitter to an available USB port on the computer and the system is up and running. Bus-powered, the extender requires no external power source; instead, the Super booster has internal DC power conditioning circuits to maintain the proper voltage to the remote device. No external power is required for either the base or remote units. The USB 1.1 Super booster Extender is compliant with the USB Specification 1.1. Please Note: The power demands of IWB models may require the use of external power for proper operation. Please consult with your device manual or manufacturer for details. During installation, do not connect the transmitter to the PC until all other connections in the system have been made. The other connections in this system would include the Cat5e/6 cable between the transmitter and receiver and the USB connection between the IWB and receiver.
